Looking nice, like Solar said, try to shorten the front fairing mounts so that the headlight sits closer to the fork head (think ducati monster close) :)
It's nice to see people do things that looks great while using the stock fairing and cutting/adjusting it :)

Yeah I think the cut on the fairing is really well done, the lines are smooth and the shape looks good. Moving that fairing bracket would take some work though, I'm not sure it matters all that much, it's still a unique streetfighter.

Very nice job, the front part would look a little more adequate if it was closer to the frame, very neat nonetheless. Question, how did you install the pro taper handle bars? did you have to change the tripple clamp? any links would be great, thank you.

well their just protaper risers. the handle bars among other accessories(grips, tail light, blinkers, etc) are actually off an '07 Triumph Speed Triple. Installing the risers was super easy, we just took off the stock risers, and drilled holes in the triple clamp for the risers. Its basically just 2 big holes, nothing complicated

Who cares what you call it- it's a motorcycle you customized to your tastes, and that makes it cool. The "Streetfighter" moniker doesn't matter a hoot.
haha thank you very much :)

oh and to answer your question, im not sure what the bend is, ill have to ask my boyfriend, its from his bike haha he replaced his bars with renthals

I don't consider that a street fighter
I agree
What the hell, are you guys purists or something? Take the fairings off a sportbike = streetfighter. Cry somewhere else about how a "true" streetfighter has to be crashed. The word is here to stay. You got people calling Street Triples and ERNs "streetfighters," so suck it up you pansies.

The great thing about a "streetfighter" is the lack of rules. There is no cookie cutter form, it's in the eye of the person doing the work. Nice work on the fairing, it looks clean... I think a plate or something to fill in where the mirrors used to be, maybe brushed aluminum or something would look good.

hey looks good, i think it would be fun to get one for cheap and make it a project bike like that. i jus got a question though, you said there isnt enough clearance to move the front fairing in, where does it not clear? from you first 'after' pick it looks like there is about 1.5 inches, does it not clear when you turn the handle bars or something? just for curiosity's sake

The stock setup has the forks coming pretty close to the console, so no she can't move it back.

I think it looks great. Why? Because there's a negative space there that is nicely balanced out by the negative spaces in the subframe and above the front fender. Aesthetically, it's not displeasing, plus it looks like her front fairing is sorta floating in midair. I like it.

i was just wondering, as i said i think it looks good too, i was just curious what was preventing the possibility of moving it back. i figured it was the forks, but i wasnt sure.
yep definitely the forks, if i moved it back, i wouldnt be able to turn properly.

thanks guys for all the compliments! its taken a lot of work, but well worth it!!!! ;D ;D

I didn't say anything about it having to be crashed. The after picture has a windscreen, that's just one thing I can think of off the top of my head that disqualifies it as a street fighter IMO. Don't take my opinion so personal.

a streetfighter can have a windscreen. usually its a smaller flyscreen tho.

there is no set definition of a streetfighter. a crashed bike that had fairings removed and nothing else is as much a streetfighter as one with a 5000 dollar spondon frame and custom single side swingarm.

for the OP, i like the bike. lookin pretty good. i would really try to figure out a way to ditch the birdcage/gauge/headlight though. it takes about 10 pounds off the front of the bike lol. take it off one day and go ride down the street. you will definitely notice a difference.
