I did my first track day at NY Safety Track. This is a place in upstate NY that is exclusively a track day facility. It is a 2 mile road course with 18 turns and lots of elevation changes. They do schools for novice riders too! Awesome experience was had by all. I went with a bunch of my ZRX buddies. Some of us were in the Novice class and others were in Intermediate. I was novice for sure! The bike was perfect for this purpose. I really wanted something lighter and slower than my ZRX for track days. After all, I am 56 years old and not getting younger. Still managed to scrape my boots with the balls of my feet on the pegs in some of the corners. Now to really learn the body positioning thing!

Here is a link to a slide show a friend made of our day! - http://s58.photobucket.com/user/dal...2014/track1_zps3fbf13f9.jpg.html?sort=4&o=152

As for the body positioning, I like to refer to on the EX as more of a twist than getting off the seat. All this while you at down getting it. Can take most corners this way with the throttle almost pinned and usually in the almost triple digits, but always keep enough throttle so you can keep the bike in a happy place all the way through the Apex at least.
