18 days and a wake up...On April 22 Just after my morning bowl of fruity pebbles...i'll be mounting the Buell and riding 569 miles to The Deals Gap Motorcycle resort for Buell week at the dragon Vlll. There are three other local Buellers trailering their bikes to the event...I was offered a spot on the trailer...to which i laughed. ;D

Should be a great time....my first trip there. There is also A Honda RC 51 rally there that week....kinda feel bad for those guys...Buells can be loud when theyre flying by in the twisties ;D

And EBR is going to be there giving test rides...on the dragon ...of the EBR RX 1190 and SX 1190...both are 185HP super bikes and i can't think of a better place to test ride one. I'm staying at the resort itself but there will be Buellers everywhere...including the campgrounds


It goes without saying I'm pretty **** excited !

Dragon is very tight and would probably hold back those big bikes. Though I bet torqueing out of the corners will be fun.

The Dragon is cool but i'm sure you will be hitting the other loops like the Cherohala Skyway, Moonshiner, etc. They are better suited for big bikes. The Dragon is perfect for Grom's!

I love the Dragon, the cops love it too which is why there are two on it at all times with zero tolerance on an all too slow 35mph limit. The great thing is, there are better roads in the area that have zero cops and normal speed limits.

That whole area is a mecca of braaap!

Driving up to Ohio from Florida in 2013, I did this with my fully built WRX and my buddy and his CBR600. We didn't get there till like midnight and we rode it at dark with no cops around and it was a blast. I had some good headlights so he stayed behind me and was able to see fine. Was probably one of the funnest roads I've ever driven on in my life! Couldn't imagine it on a bike!

I've rode it once. Did a 2,500 mile ride throughout the eastern US when I was living there. Took off a work quite a bit in advance and there was no changing the plan at the last minute. Ended up riding 3+ days and 1,000+ miles in rain. All throughout the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Dragon, and a bunch of other roads around there. One benefit was that I was the only person on the road haha.
