Here is my beloved 1988 Ex-500 which I'm starting a nut and bolt resto.

I lucked out with the colour 😁. From what I can find out 1988 was the only year for Kawasaki Green.

I think we sort of have to do full restorations with permanent 80% humidity all year round and salted roads in winter even aluminium turns back into powder in no time haha

Deffo the right colour for that model, very desirable once all the detailing and polishing done. I always liked the more angular style of the Gen1's - especially the tail end - compared to mine, a Gen2. But hey ho, can't complain, it's been a superbly reliable old bus. Good luck with your resto, it will look better and better as you progress.
