The rear shock finally gave out at 71k.
Replaced it with a used 2013 ninja 300 shock.
Bike sits taller now. Feels like a new bike again.
Less wallowing, feels a lot more firmer now.
Direct bolt in. Easy to find and cheap on eBay.

How's the lean on the kickstand?
The improvement in handling is solely from the higher ride height. As stated in my FOGBONES add changing the ride height improves a lot of things
Worth a read

Great stuff neumannzz !!!!

Is that 71k in Kilometers.., or Miles ??...

And then ..., inquiring minds wanna know a bunch of things !!.. 😬

Did you happen to measure how much longer the 300 shock is.., than the 500 one is ??

I’m guess’n that the 300 shock only has spring preload for adjustment ?....

What did you end up setting it at ?....

And for what body weight ??

Thanks in advance !!! 🙂

71000 Miles. Half inch longer then stock. Just spring preload adjustment. 200 pound rider. Cranked two notches tighter then what it was. One available notch to go. Rides pretty stiff.
