No-Start after short ride

Hi friends - I think this is likely a battery issue but curious to hear your input ('09 ex500)

I moved recently and havent ridden in about 2 months, went for a short ~25 min ride this AM and when I got back I was parking the bike, shifted in neutral, moved it, then shifted down into first before going to turn it off and the bike shut off by itself. Went to start it back up and the starter button did nothing, no turning over, etc. Lights still work but zero movement from pressing the starter. Is this just a battery issue because it sat for too long without use? Thanks!

Is your side stand down? It won't start or run in first if it is.

Does the starter click, or simply nothing at all?

Both of the posts above could be onto something.

Apply FINE-C before starting.

F = Fuel on
I = Ignition key turned to on
N = Bike in neutral
E = Engine cut-off switch in run position
C = Choke on if needed / Clutch pulled in.
