Got an odd one for you all.

I keep hearing a loud-ish mechanical sound from the front of my bike.

I have tried several different way to isolate/change it while riding.

Here is what I don't think it is:
*Not the front Brakes - no change in the sound when i apply them.
*Not the front wheel bearings - i just replaced them(one was trashed) with no change in the sound.

Here is why I think it is the speedo - the sound only changes when the speed of the bike changes.

Now, is there a way to lube/service the speedo? Is this expected or normal? WTF?

Yeah, I did that first. Axle grease in the drive unit (when i had the front wheel off.) pulled the cable from its sleeve, cleaned and lubed it with chain lube.

I think I'm going to pull the speedo and see about getting come WD40 up in there.
