got the Penske,
all the stock bolts work except the lower shock mount.
The Penske has a 10mm opening for the bolt, the stock is a bit bigger.
Now I ordered a 10MM bolt from boltdepot.com.
My question is, once the 10mm bolt is installed- there will be a gap between the bolt and the lower mount hole. (Hope that makes sense).

Do I need to get a sleeve to slide over the bolt to take up that slack?

You really need to enlarge the hole in the Penske to 12 mm

Take it to a Machine shop and ask them to ream it out to 31/64 or .485 dia.

Does seem weird that a new shock made for the bike requires modification to fit.
Wonder why they didn't make the hole on the penske 12mm to begin with?

I agree, does seem odd. Just wondering, are you sure they sent you the right part? 10 mm seems a little smaller than I would expect (although I'm sure they use a high strength bolt in that spot). Doesn't hurt to double check. Maybe there is an unusual racing reason they downsized that bolt ??? although that would still leave the holes in the mount too large. That is a good question :)
