I could actually see the tiny metal flakes in the oil I drained. :eek:

I know the manual says that first oil change should be performed at 600 miles but I figured hit the 500 mark change the oil. Glad I did it now. 8)

100 miles early isn't a bad thing.

100 isn't anything to loose sleep over, and really neither is the metal flakes you see in the oil. those sank to the bottom of the oil pan and never saw in insides of the oil pump. if they did, they'd get trapped by the filter.

however the break in fluid should go full term. it might look like crap, but what it's doing inside the engine is wonderful to the proper break in of the engine.
