One last carburetor questions before I put these new float bowl screws in and reinstall the carb. How many turns out from close do you set your EX500? I have read and heard 2.5 turns from closed is a good one from youtube videos but the videos were for ninja 250 carbs so im not sure if the same applies for 500’s.

I am aware there is probably a factory spec answer in the manual. I am just asking because maybe yall have experience better engine running experience with something different.

the technical answer is how ever many it needs to make each cylinder run the best it can. final adjustment is done with the engine running warmed up. there is a section in the "how to" explains this in detail.
however you have to start somewhere as a guide so yeah 2.5 turns is as good as any. to get it going but they must be set correctly later on. just like the float height measurement is just a guide only a wet test will determine the true fuel height. before fitting the carbs.
