I'll check in as a fellow Pheonician with a 500R.

Just got mine last week and am still feeling out the whole motorcycle riding thing but will be up for some longer runs before to long.

I'm also in Gilbert(Higley and Riggs). I had a gs500e before moving back to AZ from Chicago and decided having an air-cooled engine here was a bad idea and wanted to keep the comfort, ease of riding, and gas mileage I was used to. I got my '07 ex500 in July and have already put 3200 miles on it. The bike is my daily commuter and the '90 408ci Mustang which gets single digit mpg is the fair weather toy.

Hey, I don't think this counts as spamming, but I saw the thread and here's my lil contribution. ;D I ride with a few groups here in Phoenix, there are actual several of them. If you hit up meetup.com, there are about four or five sportbike meetup groups that meet up to ride, and one of them particularly that meets every.single.weekend. The rest are kind of sporadic... anyway, search for The Lone Wolf SBC there. If you're still bored, look up the Devil Riders: http://www.devil-riders.com, they're also a riding club in Phoenix, also very cool people.

Phoenix rider checking in! My fiance' and i ride, he has an SV650. We mostly just run around town- Gilbert- but have taken a few longer trips. Waiting for the temp to drop below 110 so i can actually enjoy my rides a bit more but may hit up Payson this weekend.

Hey guys, I'm a member of a local riding group here in Phoenix, at the moment I'm the only with with a 500 in the group, the bigger ninjas and Yamahas are pretty popular. Anyway anyone's welcome to come riding with us, and we ride almost every weekend to various places. Here's our page: http://sportbikes.meetup.com/295/

Hey all. I live up in Prescott valley. There are some really nice scenic roads to ride on here. Being from Kansas the mountain curves and the height take a bit of getting used to, But after that, WOW! There are a couple of roads from Prescott and Valley that I have found to be very exhilarating. If anyone is interested hwy 89 white spur hwy south from Prescott is recently paved asphalt and nice and wide in the turns. Highway 89A north from Prescott Valley climbs through the mountains, past 7500 ft. and through the little town of Jerome. The road needs some work and the guard rails would let a rescue crew know where to look over the cliff if something went really wrong. Aside from that the scenery is awesome! ;D
