If you've come here, you most likely have crossed paths with the award winning, affordable and surprisingly competent Kawasaki ex-500. In this era of super high tech motorcycles, this little sport bike remains a fun, versatile and inexpensive ride, and you'll find everything you need to know about it right here.
We're a community of enthusiasts, with the common goal of helping ex-500 owners and sharing our love of motorcycles in general. Many members here don't even own an ex-500 currently, but remain active members because of the connection they have to this forum.
We strive to be a friendly, helpful place, and we want you to enjoy your time here. So, for everyone's sake, we enforce certain rules of decency and respect. Basic Forum Rules If you believe a member has violated these rules by posting any belittling, abusive or antagonistic content, please hit the “report this post” button.
If you're looking for help to fix a problem with your bike, please post in the appropriate section (electrical, carbs, engine, suspension, etc) and give us as much pertinent info as you can, including the year and mileage of your bike. And please, remember that people will be volunteering time out of their busy lives to try and help you, so we ask you to be considerate by following up on questions and letting us know if our answers helped, you gave up and sent it to a mechanic, or ended up pushing the bike off a cliff. We need closure just as much as anyone else, and completing a repair thread adds to the knowledge base for all.
One last thing: You will be prompted to complete your membership registration by following a couple of steps. We hope you do so, especially adding your bike(s) to the Garage and your location in your profile. Members here own, or have owned, all different kinds of bikes. We also have the “Other Motorcycle Talk” section, because we love 'em all, not just Kawasaki's overachieving little sport bike. We hope you enjoy this forum, openly participate and become part of our community!
