Took my MSF course in college a Yamaha XT350. Then got busy with life and didn't buy my first bike until about 10 years later; a 1999 Buell S3 Thunderbolt. Got it sorted with the Buell Race ECM and D&D exhaust and the Buell recalls and put 51K mile on it before running wide out of a corner into oncoming traffic. Tore the front wheel/forks off and insurance totaled it. Great handling and sounding bike. As it was the sport tourer it was comfortable and would also return about 55-58 MPG when ridden conservatively.
