Hi everyone,

Got a crash last season and ended up bending the front frame where the fairing is held.. Since I'm on a shoestring budget, it was cheaper for me to get a new replacement front lights (50$can)

tell me what you think, questions are always welcome.

;D

I have a couple more, but unfortunately, they all came out dark.. This is the clearest one..

It'll have to wait till one of my buddies creates me an account where he'll host the picts. And I'll be able to take more picts only next weekend : the bike is stored at my parents place, 100km away from where I live... (gosh I wish to have a garage...)

Wish there was some sturdy but flexible plastic (or?) that could be cut & bent- to cover up the hoses & stuff above the radiator & in front of the gas tank.

Re: post crash mod, street fighter style

The guys from Motovan (supplier) wasn't able to quote me the name of the thing when I ordered it.

But I've found this : http://flyncycle.com/acatalog/RAGE_UNIVERSAL_FAIRINGS.html from another post.

The only difference is that when I ordered it, there were 2 choices of length, one short and one long, which is actually the same part, but with longer/shorter wind deflector. I got the longer one. The one from flyncycle seems to be the short one.

If you want to compare, check www.motovan.com click on their catalog tab on the top, then the online catalog called Moto 06 and go to page 372 of 1185, there you'll find it, top left.Prices are in canadian currency.

Hey, now that I take a good look at it, the black plastic brackets didn't came in the kit, but I didn't need them anyways. ;D

Cheers !

I'm asking myself the same question.. Haven't figured anything yet though, I might check a metal shop, if it'd be possible to have some metal sheet work done or whatnot. <= All inputs are welcome :)

But that'll have to wait a bit, all the money (which is scarce) is going on making this roadworthy first.

Totally true, theres a supermotard fender that'll go there, as I want to get a wider tire and it doesn't look like I have any clearance with the stock part..

Though I installed the fairing as high as I could, there's a possibility to lower it another 2 to 3 inches ;)

They are not hooked yet, but all the original connectors from the EX are there, it seems to only be a matter of connecting the new wires with the original stuff.

I'll try to find the said fender, which is coming from the same place as the upper fairing

Re: post crash mod, street fighter style

For the fender, go again to motovan web site, check the same online catalog (moto 06) and check page 543

I just realised that the upper fairing is on the same page too ;)

the fender is the Cycralite motard fender.

I intend to install it with U shape clamps the ones with bolts on both tips of the 'U', I've already found the size that fits snugly on the forks.

Any concerns about the electrics up there?
If you are referring about the cables that needs to be connected to the cluster, I remember that when I installed originally, I putted the fairing as high as it could go, and then I came out short with the cable that indicates the speed. I lowered it about 1 inch and it now fits perfectly.
