So last friday i dumped my 500. Pretty much trashed my upper fairing, brake lever is gone, and some other cosmetic damage. As for me i walked away with some road rash on my knee and hip (thank you Joe Rocket and HJC, wear your gear, i'm living proof). Anyway, I'm going to pick up a new fairing from Airtech and possibly their racing seat fairing dealie. Then i got to thinking without the decals on the front fairing, the tank is gonna look stupid. More thinking ensued (after my crash...) and i think im going to repaint the entire bike to gloss black, or maybe just get rid of the decals and do straight green.

So i have a few questions:
1. Has anyone had any experience with Airtech fairings? (and if so what is your opinion on them)
2. Anyone have a pic of a completely black or green 500?
3. (i know this has been brought up) Has anyone tried putting the mirrors off the bigger ninjas on the 500? From the way it looks, they have the same mounts, but i dunno what the angle difference is.

it has some decals, but still should give you an idea of what the bike will look like all black.

I'm at this point bailing on the OEM fender. Bikes gonna be a streetfighter by march. Havent decided on headlights yet, but shes going all black, either sarachu cans or muzzy full system, Airtech rear race fairing, +2 sprocket, maybe new swingarm and bigger tire. Ill be sure to show you guys when she goes on her reborn maiden voyage.

Lucky, where did you see those fairings at??? I need a new fairing for my bike, don't want to pay $600+ for a oem fairing, and don't want an airtech since it doesn't have any headlight mounts. If you could post a link or anyone knows of any other aftermarket fairings that may fit my criterion, that would be great!!!!
