OK guys, Right now my bike has a Hindle 2-1 full system, K&N Pod filters, and a stage 1 dynojet jet kit. It looks like I will have to revert back to stock pipes to conform to the new rules in our organization, Not a definate yet. My question is, Once I go back to the stock pipes, can I go back to stock jetting, then adjust as nesecary for the pods?

I can't see why not, But just making sure. Thanks in advance.

my club also requires stock exhaust... just about everyone has the stock airbox & i'm pretty sure stock jetting as well. seems to run the best that way. yes, you can get more peak power w/ a jet kit, but from what i've heard (which makes this hear-say) most people end up w/ a big flatspot around 6k.... which mine has anyway, so ya gotta keep it spun up.

We don't require stock exhaust, Just we now require a sealed lower, which means that I would have to butcher a lower for it work, and I would have next to no ground clearance. Once I go back to stock exhaust, with the pods, roughly what should I have in for jetting?

And it's a racing organization, Not anything to do with the laws.

ah, yeah... there's next to no ground clearance w/ the lower on. Pretty much everyone at Loudon takes it off since there's so many bumps in the track and most of us have stock exhaust for the Production Twins class. Hell I've even dragged my headers. To run the lower i'm gonna have to cut even more out of the cross-over pipe and pull the headers together more & squeeze the lowers in a little.

Truthfully, from what i've read regarding jetting, if you're gonna run stock exhaust i'd get the stock airbox on there & run stock jetting as well... If you're gonna keep the pods MAYBE one step higher on the main jet would do it. Then again, you might be allright running stock exhaust w/ the jetting you've got... might as well give it a shot & test run it if you're able to do so before the season begins.

Hopfully FOG will chime in here cuz he's much more familiar w/ jetting than I am.

Since I've been invited, I would junk the pod filters. Even if you got it to run OK with them they do nothing but make noise. (103 DB three feet back to the side with stock pipes) If you can find an airbox use it and stock jetting with the airbox mod.

All you can do is throw fuel at it. Once you get it fat enough it'll runn smooth just won't make any power.

BigD, I think what FOG's trying to say here is.... don't even bother. If you want an R6, then get some seat time on a stock EX, then go get an R6. You're talking about getting into a project that's gonna require ALOTTA technical knowledge, ALOTTA time, and ALOTTA changes to the bike. If you're new to "This", you're probly in over your head. THAT'S OKAY, you're not a bad person, you're not stupid, you just didn't know. But now you Do, And Knowing Is All The Battle...

Or at least that's what I interpreted from FOG's post.....[/color] ;)
