Does anyone have experience with the Renntec rack? Will it fit our Ninja 500? From the look of the pictures it looks like it will fit. I was was hoping for someone who has tried it out before I order.

Yeah it fits, it is AMAZING to have on this bike. A china $40 shipped 40L case fits the bike well and fits my backpack/all my gear.

As Moocatdog has pointed out, the rack's for 1st and 2nd gen are different. I modified a 2nd gen rack to fit my 1st gen, not a big job.
Rack fit's well, and carry's a 47ltr universal box...the box mounting need's altering to fit...an extra 2 holes drilling to suit the universal mounting plate....and yes, it does look like a dustbin, but it holds a hell of a lot of stuff, ;D

Because it's hard to find used
I saw one in Germany but there is a broken segment and it is very rusty. You have to unroll it and solder it
It is still sold very expensive at 139€ + shipping costs

New it can be found in black at 335€ + postage and in chrome at 389€ + postage on a Dutch site.

It's very expensive, i think!

Unfortunately, I'm not equipped to make one myself and maybe I don't have the courage either.

If the German guy drops his price sharply, I could buy it and fix it or find a welder who would do it for me😊
