Is Seafoam engine treatment good for anything other than making a huge cloud of smoke? I am about to start messing around with the recommended 4000 mile service stuff and am wondering if it will help anything.

On that same note, will it hurt anything? Anything other than my wallet and anyone caught in the $6 smoke screen it produces that is.

id put it in my coffee if i werent certain that it would kill me.
If it does anything like what it does to the bike, you and the bathroom are gonna be good friends for the next load of food ::)

I believe in addition to being a solvent (removing minor gunk) it also behaves as a lubricant, so it will help with such things as sticky float valves, etc. It should be safe for all seals. It is unlikely that it will fix any carb related maladies though.

Rats, I was hoping it would sync the carbs and bleed the brakes for me as well.

Thanks for the information.
