So I find a good price on new tires from the local dealer, and I need to take the wheels off to avoid labor charges. I go to the garage, Clymer manual in hand. Start on the rear tire, and remove it off with no problem. Go to the front tire take off the speedo cable, take off the caliper (put wood in between pads just in case), then remove the axle clamp bolts. Everything is going well until I get to the instruction that says "then loosen and remove the axle nut on the left hand side". Huh...this axle nut looks a lot like it requires a larger allen wrench to remove.

Am I right? If so, what size is that sucker?

Yikes. I'm going to need a new tool.

Help with an answer to this question will be appreciated.

Yeah, I hod to go by extra tools for that which I didn't really mind. It is a 12mm hex. I ended up buying a hex bit socket set for like $15 from Harbor Freight tools.
