did you check if your new oil had anti-friction additives ?

they could be the cause of that.

You can still push start it if you 'need' to ride ;)

does the starter not engage like a car ? I noticed the starter is on a gear that is hooked on a chain.
How does the chain engage and turn the engine???

If you're saying that the starter spins but doesn't turn over the engine, it sounds like it would be the starter clutch. This is separate from the engine clutch, so the wrong oil wouldn't affect it. Push starting would work until you fix/replace the starter clutch.

I've never pulled the starter clutch myself, so check a manual. I just flipped through mine, you will need a puller to get the starter gear off.

Found the ( I think ) problem. See pic's.
The colar has come unpressed from the gear. I guess they were heat pressed. Why Not welded Ill never know.

Yep that's a standard broken weld. Take it to a welder and re weld it.
