I have a 1992 EX500 (my first bike) and now its time to put some new tires on it.

First off, I would like to get alot of km/miles out of them as I plan to be doing alot of riding this yr.
secondly, my riding will be evenly split between inter city riding & highway riding. I've been told to go w/ a more "sticky" tire as Im a new rider.

Please give me some input pros and cons of my two (limited) tire choices

Thanks

There are many tire threads on this forum and they pretty much say the same..

Both are good choices, go with the price.

I've got the lasertechs they were the ones available right away

I just got a BT45 rear. mawonline.com sells on ebay and they had it for $92 shipped, $30 less than the cheapest Metzeler deal I could find. Locally for that price I could only get a Cheng Shin.....

A nice street comp is what you want in order to get more use out of them. I know guys that commute using sudo race/race tires which are stickier but wear out a lot faster. You'll be fine with what your local place has to offer you.
