problems include....a broken wide open "shut down valve" missing its outer cover allowing a massive, direct, constant stream of atmosphere being sucked into this particular carb. A 2nd identical unit on another carb is present and working fine. Upon receiving the carbset in the mail, I casually lifted and let go of all 4 slides....2 of which firmly stuck in the upward position! Caused by massive amounts of grit inside.
Jets have been fully cleaned. I'm getting there but need carb kits ordered for the oring/gaskets and float valve contents. Not even considering using any brass tuning componentry also supplied in the kits, however. Not needed, actually.
