Can we please have the "go to the bottom /top button back?"

FOG
^+1 this would be great.
We already have a go to the top, a go to the bottom would be awesome.

I've got a slide bar on the right side of my screen...up/down effortless, instant. I'm using the EX "full" version on desktop, Windows 7.

Don't have either an up or down button.

ok I do have it, but never needed or used it, just use my slide bar.

I moved these up/down button posts from the Our Forum Going Forward thread, as I believe this is where they belong to garner ADMIN attention and hopeful action.
There's no utility within vbulletin to do this, but it might be possible. I already researched it and found an add-on that sounds awesome. I'll send it direct to the admin team and see what they have to say.
I don't know if this is new, or if I'm just now finding it ( about a month ago). But there is an option at the top of the threads to "view first unread post". It is not always 100% accurate, sometimes it will bring you to the last post even if you haven't seen the one above it, but still pretty good. With that and the go to the top button at the bottom of the page, we have essentially got "top/bottom" buttons.
The one I saw has up and down arrows next to the left of the scroll bar. At the top of the page only the down arrow is visible and at the bottom, only the up arrow. Anywhere else on the page, both are visible, so you can easily jump to the top or the bottom at any point. As to whether we could get that implemented I can't say, but I will ask.
Just to clarify, I currently have an up button and a down button in windows 10.
I'll see if we can arrange something. If it's easy to add, doesn't hurt anything.

Any opinion on where at the top it should be?

Kevin
I just use the Home and End buttons on the keyboard. Mobile might be a different beast though.

I didn't even know what those buttons were for. :surprise: Those buttons just make it whip right along. :grin2:

The original poster on this thread has tapped out anyway, deleting the original post. Some how I got nominated as the thread starter.

So I think everyone has lost interest in the up/down button, I know I have. :wink2:

There's no indication that fog deleted the original post. I'm not sure what happened there.

So, after I invested time into researching this, nobody cares any more? Lesson learned, I guess.
On Macs, you hold the "Command" key down then tap the up or down arrow. Takes you all the way up or down. To scroll up or down the page one screen length, hold the function ("fn") key down while tapping the up/down arrows. Great or searching eBay, Craigs List etc.
