Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows of any tracks around Chicago, or Northern IL in general.
Something fairly small, road course, obstacle avoidance type of tracks.

I'm not big on high speed, but I love twists and turns ;D

Obstacle avoidance? That would make for an interesting track day. Generally I just have to swerve around the carnage of over-eager squid bodies and the detritus sloughing off their machinery as they succumb to The Villain's fiendish pace...but dedicated obstacles might be an entertaining challenge.

I was thinking along the lines of autocross, but for motorcycles... usually consisting of a large open are, cones.

What about regular tracks? I tried looking them up online, but all I came up with were dirt tracks.

Here in Orlando on the way in to the metro area we race in our work vehicles only we don't break the law because there's so many cars on the road, I call it a "wheelchair Race",yup we go as fast as we can but don't exceed the speed limits. Its like your own neighbor cutting you off and then as long as you wave your hand out the window...its ok. I have an alternate name for it also- "bumper hooking".
As long as your front bumper was in front of the other guys that gives you the right to cut him off. Once you're cut off you are forced to respect their rear bumper with your front bumper, that is until your front bumper gets in front of their front bumper again. I invented this concept. the defense is to not let their front bumper ever get in front of your front bumper. then you've won the road greed wheelchair Race game. The rich people seem to be the most aggressive at this. Apparently they think they have the right to hook my front bumper because I have a 13 year old truck, but what they don't know is that I sport a magnum v8 under the hood. Muscle beats luxury any day, except for the 100,000$ bmws and Mercedes, I am forced to let them beat me when they floor it to hook my bumper. But then I make them think I'm not going to stop when we get to the next red light, scares the crap out of them, they think their precious car is going to get rear ended. Its all just a game we play here daily. The have nots against the haves.
