Besides heat (hot sun) and lube, what do you do if a new tire won't fully seat at 40 psi? Is it safe to go up to 60-70 psi? Or is there a better way?
A guy from a tire shop taught me this. Hold tire vertically between legs and bounce on it with bum while inflating. Also lots of tire lube. Some common sense is required though, if you are using excessive pressure, over that written on the sidewall, you probably won't want your manhood this close to an imminently exploding tire. A high capacity air pump will also be more effective than a small 12v pump. If all else fails take it to a tire shop and they can use their high flow pump and if you're lucky will not charge you for something that will only take them a minute to do.
