Hey guys,
I'm working on two new articles at the moment, and I was seeking a little additional input.

1. "Accessories every DIY mechanic should own"

Did I forget any non-tool must-have's for every DIY mechanic?

2. "Frequently asked questions"
This one's not very far along, but it's a long time in the making. Here's what I've got in mind so far, and I'd like to hear any other suggestions for Frequently asked questions. Basically, in addition to what you'd normally expect of a FAQ, I was thinking of addressing a few other issues that commonly come up that don't quite merit having their own Wiki page or guide. And I'm also contemplating whether this should be merged as a single page with the "Common Problems" article.
Here are the topics I was planning on addressing so far:
- How do I get more power
- How long will this bike last (mileage)
- How should I clean my bike?
- How can I reduce the risk of my bike being vandalized?
- Does the chin fairing have any function other than aesthetics?
- How many people does it take to load a EX-500 into a trailer/truck, and how do I secure it?
- Where can I buy OEM parts for this bike? Where can I buy Aftermarket parts for this bike?

Probably room for a lot more FAQ's, so lemme know...

So, what all did I miss?

Adding too much into the FAQ will bring it into a DIY territory which isn't what you want to happen with the FAQ. I think "How Should I clean my bike" should be put into the DIY accessories for mechanics section, actually. Search out that one thread where someone asks what they need to start working on their bike, I think I had the first response in that thread.

I'd add WD-40 to the DIYer's section. It takes chain grease off skin way easier than hand cleaner, can be used to lube and clean the chain, and also great for cleaning rims.

What about a set of bike tie-downs as well? Add that to a friend with a pick-up truck.

It's highly contested across the forums. I don't even use "chain lube" anymore.

It is a water-displacing RUST INHIBITOR! The chemical composition actually very closely resembles fish oil.

That being said, it's always a good idea to spray it on everything :)

Guys, not this bullshit again, please. People clean and lubricate their chain with WD40 all the time. It is NOT ideal, but it is also not deadly or dangerous.

It's no Dupont Multi Purpose dry wax spray, but it works and it doesn't cost $15 like the lubes you find at motorcycle stores.

The dupont teflon lube stuff costs about the same as WD-40 around here. And it is a purpose-made lubricant, with drive chains as one of the recommended applications. Just sayin'.

Yep. I switched over to the Dupont Multi-Use stuff too. . . . [rave, rave, rave] . . .

but . . .

What's this I'm seeing on Dupont's web site;

DuPont™ Teflon™ Chain-Saver Lubricant?

Is it better for our purposes?

It's not widely available yet from what I can tell.

There are two PDF pages on their website that basically state that the Chain Saver stuff has a higher percentage of chemicals that are preferable for motorcycle chains. It's basically Multi Purpose with less of the multi, and more of the purpose.
