Just wondering how many present & former Armed services members we have on site?
Perhaps folks would share years of service, what they did, & where/when they were stationed.

Can somebody make a poll topic for this?
Can people check more than one box, or can it include 2 divisions?

o Active duty
o Veteran

o Air Force
o Army
o Coast Guard
o Marine Corps
o Navy

If you'd like, you can add two separate polls in a single thread, one after another.

Create one for:

Are you currently a member of a former member of a US armed service?

o Active duty
o Veteran

And then create a second for:

If you are a member of a US armed service, which one?

o Air Force
o Army
o Coast Guard
o Marine Corps
o Navy

Six years Navy, got out as a Hull Tech First Class. That is welding/Fabrication/Damage Control. Didn't get to travel much, two years in Rota Spain, three here in Charleston fixing submarines, all spent on the ship pictured below.

20 in the AF and still going at least for now, I've had just about enough.
ARt1989- what kind of work are you doing in the USAF & where ya' stationed?

I generally loved working on the planes but I wasn't too keen on the day-shift yessir-nosir button-your-pocket routine. So I always went for swing shift. Made a BIG difference... back in the '70's anyway. Bart

OK Art... Road trip! As weather allows I bike down tp the Capehart Road & Keystone/Papio Trail intersection from my house... maybe 14 miles. How far are you from there? My house isn't far from 120th & Blondo (1 mile north of Dodge)

Amen devil i'm always down for good old fashion scrapin. I don't think the take over will be that hard since were always the first to start then everyone else comes in for all the tv cameras. but hey it don't matter, jarheads=we start the fight and take over some other branch comes in takes the glory while were off doin what we do best KILLIN, then we gotta come back and take over again cause the glory hounds got run off by rain heat flies and the enemy came back. such a viscious cycle, so much killin to be done so little time. The delima of being a Marine
