hi all. I'm in need of some vinyl to make a decal for the tank on my CBR, on account of it being smashed. So I was just wondering where you guys that made your own decals got the vinyl that you needed. All I need is to have a triangle shape that goes the length of the tank and seems to be a fairly standard shade of red.
where should I be looking?

Signmaking shops may have scraps for free or a nominal price in the size you want. Otherwise you could be close to a high-end art supply store like Jerry's Artarama which stocks all kinds of cool stuff. Places like Hobby Lobby, Michaels or other crafty stores most likely doesn't but won't hurt to look.

Ebay has it in rolls and sheets, even the reflective vinyl.

I made a triangle overlay for my 500. Call tapeworks and buy some by the foot. Then make a paper stensile out of some construction paper. When you have the shape you want, trace it onto the paper side of the vinyl. Cut it, then use a wet application. Directions are on the tapeworks website.

I like the gauges....but I don't see them for the EX500? Yet they exist for the 250r? That sucks, they're pretty neat looking.

Or does the 250 guages fit ours?

JaNinja had some made for the 500. The guages arn't the same. Shoot him a PM if you're interested. I can't remember where he got them.
Yeah, I did PM JaNinja, back in Nov. I believe. Asked him how he did it, cause I wanted to do mine in a similar way. He told me he was working on doing a write-up. Last I heard of him!
