I was thinking... MAYBE if people have some time to write up some objective reviews of their gear, I've rode 15k in 14 months and gone through three pairs of gloves, one pair of boots, two jackets... Not from crashes... just CA weather & WEAR/TEAR (which isn't much) ... I need to find a objective place with reviews on gear with the most important factor ENDURANCE! I am tried of buying ICON gloves and watching them waste away in 5 months. Time to find a few good pieces of gear. People have already told me first gear is the way to go but I was looking for options besides the king of sport touring gear.

Right on thanks much. I would never consider wearing moto boot for anything besides motorcycling. I have a pair of F.Thomas and some O'neils. They are just too uncomfortable. I saw ICON made some half dock martin half motorcycle boot looking things. When they get a bit older I'll check them out for sure. In the mean time I just leave my work shoes at work
