What do you think of the Razor? New Enough has them onsale for 10 bucks right now, as a clearout. They look like they'd make a nice backup pair after my main gloves get soaked in a rainy ride. Do they feel like they'd hold up? Are they comfy?

Yup, that would be me. I did that first in the late sixties, early seventies, tried several other things since, but keep going back to that original rig. It works well, is simple, and stores on the bike easy.

Thats where I got mine a few months back, for $15 doh!
They're fine, a good second pair. More protective that the TM mesh glove that I also have. They run a bit small though. I usually wear an XL, but a trip to the local stealer showed me I needed a XXL in JR gloves. Definately worth the $10, or even $15

OK dad, thanks much for the tip. I had been using a scarf on rides under 40 F, but that's a lot of material wrapped around the neck/flapping in the wind, and I did not feel like it was a good long term solution. Amazing how you run across the best little tips on these forums.

Or you could try one of those bicycle "balaclava" for head & neck wind protection. It's thin enough for fit inside the your helmet if it's not too tight.

Your helmet should fit snug. When I tried one of those I would get a headache from being just a bit too tight. It also aggravated fogging the screen from the inside.

What's interesting is how well the anti-fog visor is on my newest helmet, HJC AC-12. The prior models didn't have this anti-fog treatment. I used to keep a small anti-fog eye glass spray, about lipstick size, small pump bottle, available at the drug store or grocery store pharmacy section. It packed small in a zip-lock bag with a few paper towels. Worked OK until it got REALLY cold, like about freezing or below. It was also handy for a quick roadside visor cleaning when the bugs were especially bad.

I just added an Icon body armor vest last night. Feels like it'll offer waaaaaaaaaay more protection than the cheap foam that comes in my Joe Rocket jacket. Got a sweet deal on it and it offers a lot more peace of mind, so I couldn't turn it down.

Sadly, I've got the same bat mask^^^ kicking around somewhere, maybe I'll wear it out someday.

I'd be careful if you add the Bat Cape... might make for a bad chain encounter.
