What is a meter light?

Hey guys, I just bought a 07 500 and it didn’t come with a speedometer cluster so I bought a universal Chinese one. The diagram for the bike says the there’s three “meter lights” does anyone have clue what those are? Also, can you guys confirm this joke does not have a fuel gauge sensor? Thanks in advance!

there warning lights, or depends on your English notification lights, typically. one each for. ignition on, oil light, high beam, or may be indicators also or if the translation is poor it means the no of bulbs to light up the clocks. and no the joke is you look in the tank to see how much fuel you have left.

hi, my apologies I miss read your post, your referring to the term "meter lights" in the service book not the Chinese instructions on the new gauge.
these are indeed a reference to the illumination bulbs for the speedo cluster x3 one each for the speedo, rev counter, and temp gauge.
there wired into the side light circuit (what you would call running lights) I think.
