Firefox2 on windows offers a on-the-fly spell checker, as does any mac browser.

a viewing function for pics so that it will just open in a new window when a link is clicked rather than downloading and opening in MS photo viewer or something. Not sure how much of a pain that is to do though.

Or perhaps a member map? I've seen a site use google earth for mapping out where it's members are, although I don't have the savvy to know how it works.

How about a "Town Square" where people can ask about other's backgrounds, interests, & other non-technical stuff... w/o being told "Naughty, stay on topic."

I understand why that is neccessary, but sometimes discussions trigger ideas or memories that people want to share. A Town Square (or Peer-group Pyramid, Off-the-track Octagon, Sharing String -has length, no width or height, whatever) could serve that purpose.

Or just change the name of the Off-Topic section so it doesn't sound like a detention hall. : ]

i second this idea. not as in a place to UPLOAD pics and video, but rather a place to post off site pictures and videos. however, if this happens, i feel an amendment to the rules will follow suit. NWS warnings and nudity prohibition and the such.

What about an "Events" or "Group Rides" catagory? I just posted about the IMS in San Mateo CA, but didn't know where to put it other than the regional catagory.
