I'm no expert on this.. but if I recall correctly, you can go wider, but it will affect your turn in and slow down steering. On the other hand, I've also heard that many people do race on wider tires. Always used stock sizes myself.

i race on a 110/70R17 front and a 150/60R17 rear. You can go w/ a 120/65R17 front as well.

however, as you can see from the sizes, that's on 17" rims. If i recall correctly, the widest tire you can fit in the 16" pre '94 swingarm is a 140.

hey thanks, i reserved a set for tomorrow. size 130 rear and 110 front. just one size up on each.

yeah that'll be fine. What kinda rubber did you get? I shoulda told you before hand that i did a bit of research on the types of 16" tires that are used by some racers who haven't gone thorugh w/ the 17" conversion.

Cool... like I said I did alot of reading on the 16" tires and from what I read, that's one of the tires that i would have recommended to my teammates if he didn't decide to go w/ the 17" swap like I told him to Good luck w/ it, let us know how it works out.

didn't get a great price but, i thought they were decent tires. you know, the tire sales are never when you're in the market for them ???
