Maybe this was NOT a good idea.........now I can see how dirty is in there, and will force me to clean it out....!!?? NOOB here on the forum, sorry if this has been done/posted before. I originally was going to install wire mesh in the cut-out, but remembered I had some plastic sheeting laying around in the shop. I also installed some SS Socket Screws in the engine covers to replace the black hexheads.........which is nothing but pure BLING. But I like it...... and will be offering a SS Bolt Kit for sale here next week for the EX500.

Carbs are due in today being rebuilt from Ducatiman1....then the reassembly starts.

Nicely done. But, as you have stated, you can now see all the junk that the front sprocket collects.

One of these days I will replace my standard clutch cover on the 996 with a cutaway version, so that I can see the cool spinning clutch and reduce heat/dust in that area also.
