I just got back from picking up my new (used) set of leathers for my track day tomorrow:

When I bought them, they had a bad zipper on the calf, duct tape on the same calf possibly covering a tear, and were a bit dirty. 15 minutes later with a pair of pliers, some saddle soap and a spritz of WD-40, they're like new.

No more feeling the breeze between my cheeks, yay!

I just bought a brand new biker jacket from Wilson's Leather in champaign. It's normally priced at $478. but i got it for $178. How awesome is that? Plus it has a full liner, arms too. It has 3 white strips running down the arms, and 4 vents.

Just got done applying leather lotion, in an hour i'll be spraying on the leather protector.

BTW, anyone got a ninja 500r in the champaign danville illinois area that is willing to sell in february or march? If the price is low enough i'll have the money sooner than that.

I may have a very clean and very low mileage (currently 2300 miles) '94 available come springtime. It's one I just picked up and will be making available to/discussing with the kids before to do anything. One of them may want it. The '94 is the latest design with disc front and rear, 17" wheels, etc. In order of expectations one of the following three will happen.

1) '03 EX-250 for sale
2) '94 EX-500 for sale
3) none of the above.

If I sell it, it will be TOTALLY fresh on ALL maintenance including, oil, brake fluid, fork oil, coolant, steering head bearings greased or replaced as inspection dictates, cables lubed, fresh and ready to ride anywhere in all respects. It is a dry garage kept, very straight bike, including and especially the finish. Somebody did manage to put a small ding in the tank, about quarter sized, no broken paint, though. All stock components, not cannibalized, including stock turn signals and stock exhaust. If I sell it, I expect to price it at $1800, TRULY ready to ride.
