I just got a 10K service for my California 2007 ex500 (@ 30k miles) at an independent, all purpose shop. Since I bought the bike several years ago it has run just fine. Now it has a fuel tank vacuum problem. When power fails I open the tank cap and we (it & I) are running fine again ----for a few miles.
Is there a vent line or some other air source that can have been pinched or obstructed when the mechanic reassembled the bike? I read about removing the cap valves, but I feel that while removing the valves would keep me running, there is some other issue that is the actual problem.
Thanks for sharing your wisdom.
