Since Christmas is coming up, and since I know a lot of you also have EXO-400s, I thought I would pick your brains a bit.

I have this specific model...

...and I realized the mirrored blue would just look bizarre and really out of place on it, so I think I'm stuck with black in terms of tint. Which I'm totally ok with. :)

How does the dark smoke shield look in terms of tint? Also, what's it like from the outside? Can you still see the rider's face? While clear shields are great for visibility, I've always been a fan of that whole "who's the mysterious power ranger behind that helmet" aspect of tinted shields.

I actually have the mirrored blue shield for my spare Scorpion helmet. The mirrored shields all look the same from inside with a brownish tint which works well for contrast. The mirrored color is only visible from outside. What ever scorpion says I still find you need anti fog spray on their visors. While your at it get the optional $7 chin skirt as it makes the helmet quieter and keeps some of the air turbulence out of the face area. Find the extra shield gets scratched up carrying it around off the helmet unless you store it in a protective cover like the helmet bag.

I have the dark tinted shield for that helmet and you can't see in from the outside when it's down unless you put your face right up to the shield, from the outside. After a few minutes of having it on you can't really tell you're wearing a dark tinted shield or you tend to get use to it and then it seems normal, during the day.

I have the dark smoke shields for all my helmets and if you have no other way to carry one for like quick swapping, you can get a shield pouch that goes around your waist like the fanny packs of old.
