The mileage is 5559 original miles. I bought the bike with 2800 miles on it. I just haven't ridden it much. I start it up and go around the block a few times every couple of weeks and it runs great. But I just don't ride it enough to keep it. What is the 3922 on the right side speedo?

It has the following:
New tires (last year, but haven't ridden much)
High intensity headlight.
Handle bar weights/extension (almost no vibration, helps if you ever lay it over by saving fairing).
Motor mount extensions (helps if you ever lay it over by saving fairing)
Air horn (very loud)
Cool looking mirrors (old ones come with it)

It isn't showroom perfect but very good.

It has the following flaws:
Small light spot and seat (came that way. Doesn't buff out).
Few scratches on right side fairing where previous owner dropped it while standing still.
Small speckles on plastic windshield (very low and small) where I removed a sticker with heat gun. Don't do that.

Here are some pics:

What do you think? I can't find much on ebay to compare it with.

I would check more local like on craigslist or letgo and see what people are asking for theirs. It's worth what someone will pay for it, and yours seems like its ready to ride turn key. IMO you shouldn't really get less than $3k in that condition. I think one member here recently sold theirs with a bit more miles but in good shape like yours for $2800 and it sold fairly quick iirc. In my area completely trashed ones that are running are listed about $1k, and theres one in similar condition to yours with only 650 miles listed for $3500 but its completely stock except for new tires.

The 3299 on the right of the speedo is your "Trip Mileage", meaning if you want to just see how far you're riding on a single trip you can reset it by pushing that trip-reset pin/button.

As for your selling price a lot will depend on what state you're in. I'm in Florida and every now and then an EX500 pops up on CL or FB Marketplace for anywhere from $1200 - $3500. Now, those are "asking prices" in Florida. Your state may differ.
Some things to think about:
1. They no longer make this model so most parts you're going to have to order online
2. It's a carbureted motorcycle and in the day and age of Fi...
3. New motorcycle sales have plummeted and this has effected used motorcycle sales as well, mostly due to Covid-19, so it's a buyers market. Never in the age of the internet have I seen so few used motorcycles posted for sale than this past year!
4. If you're in a state where fall has begun and winter is right around the corner it may be harder to sell right now.
5. You can always ask for whatever you want...if someone wants it and has the money they will buy it, if not you may have to get low.

Judging by the low miles and the condition from your pictures I'd be thinking to list it around $2500 (give or take a few $100). I know some newer Ninja 250's go for around $1500-$2000 (I'd never pay more that $1200 for one of those) so since the EX500 is twice that in cc's...

Either way, good luck with your sale!

That's a second trip meter. Using the button you push to clear the trip meter in the speedometer, turn it clockwise about 30 degrees to clear the one in the tachometer.

Ignore those guys, it's worth like $5, I'll come down and take it off your hands for you! /s 😜

Seriously though, that thing is pretty. I got mine for $1200, though it was originally listed for $1800, and it was almost double the mileage and not nearly as clean. Up here you could probably get $2500 without too much hassle. My thought with stuff like this is to add like 20% to your list price to account for negotiating... Especially if you're not in a super hurry to move it, it might help filter out unwanted attention.

These are third party replacements for one of the other Kawasaki bikes, don't know which one. I looked through all my stuff but it was so long ago I couldn't find it. I do know they were a perfect fit and I didn't have to mod anything. They popped right on. Maybe someone else here knows what Kawa bikes have the same mounts for the mirrors. Sorry.

Google search: Mirrors for Kawasaki ZX-6R 2003 2004.
Looks similar; could be Emgo, or other brand.
Don't know if they fit EX500?
They appear to be 06-08 Ninja 650R mirrors. I have them on my EX500 and beside being "flipped" (as in the mirror hangs below the stalk, rather than above it), they're perfectly compatible.

Up here the prices are starting to fall as the cooler weather comes in and the season is coming to an end, prices usually go back up in the spring and summer.

I have a 2007 that I bought just over a year ago for $500 but I know I got a steal on it. If it runs and rides that is automatically a big bump in price. These are good beginner bikes so they are desirable and I'd say depending on where you are asking $2,000-$2500 is very fair. This time of year it may drop to $1500-2000 up here. Down in TX I don't think you'd have the seasonality, but you may also have a lot more bikes on the market which makes supply larger so the cost may also go down.

Take a quick peek at Facebook marketplace, craigslist and local dealers to see what the range is for your area.

I posted it for 2800 on Dallas Craigs List. I dislike Craigs List because they offer no webpage hit counter, and it cost $5. I have no idea if anyone is even looking at it. But it's 30 days. They also strip out any HTML I use to add a hit counter. :)
Ebay shows how many views but the price includes a bunch of fees. It could easily cost $100.

Guess I'll lower the price once in a while till I start getting some emails.

If you're on Facebook you can use the "Marketplace". You will get a lot more interest there. (I think Craigslist is about done. It is no where near the same as it once used to be.)
Also, you can go to CycleTrader.com and they allow you to post 4 pictures for free.

Yeah, impatience may cost you some cash. I walked off with my bike for $900 because I literally drove away when the PO wouldn't come down on price. He called me on my way out and agreed to it. He would have lost the sale but may have got more money for the bike.
